What Sells
We find that taking shots of boats from a few different angles and ideally the people onboard sells well. For power boats if there going along a high speed that make the boat look much better but even if they are stopped get a picture as I have sold many picture going slowly as people just like having a picture of their boat on the water. Again with sailing boat although they look much better with the sails up, try and get each of the different quarters of the boat if you can as these angles sell best.
Location
It doesn't where in the world you take pictures, whether it's a main port or a small little town, people still want photos of their boat. Also you don't necessarily need a boat, shots from the shore, jetties piers etc sell well (make sure you allowed on them first though)
Time
Is it a commitment? No, Remember it isn't a formal thing, if you don't get any photos for weeks it doesn't matter, When you have a good photo(s) submit them. Remember the more you take and upload the more money you might make.
